Breakthroughs happen at HELBUS.
HELBUS is an accelerator for the leaders of tomorrow.
Helsinki School of Business (HELBUS) is a private business school in Helsinki. Students complete a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business and Management (BA) degree or a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. All modules are conducted in English and taught by a highly qualified international faculty. The BA can be completed full-time in two calendar years, while the MBA can be completed full-time in one year or part-time in two. HELBUS does not receive funding from the government, so its programmes are funded through tuition fees.

Vision and values
At HELBUS, ambition is turned into futures without limits.
This vision comes to life when everyone in the community shares the same values. Values define what HELBUS stands for and doesn’t stand for – and how it connects with new and returning students, faculty members, parents, and partners.
Everything HELBUS does is rooted in the following values:
Empowerment
At HELBUS, every student has the opportunity to unlock their full potential. Studies enhance students’ confidence, resilience, and courage – essential qualities for business leaders. By supporting their growth, HELBUS empowers its students to seize the opportunities the future holds.
Excellence
Excellence is both the standard and the core value that drives HELBUS. The school expects a lot from its students and encourages them to shine in academia and beyond. At HELBUS, success is earned through hard work, determination, and a commitment to growth.

At HELBUS, the student comes first. HELBUS cares about the well-being of each community member. The supportive, tight-knit, and welcoming community ensures that everyone feels seen, heard, and respected. Students are encouraged to find their unique strengths as well as their place in the world.
Partners:
University of Northampton & Pearson

The University of Northampton (UoN) has been a key partner of HELBUS since 2016. In practice, the partnership works like this:
- HELBUS offers University of Northampton’s degree programmes in Finland
- HELBUS students are officially UoN’s students
- UoN monitors the quality of the education, admits students, approves instructors, awards the BA and MBA degrees and oversees the delivery based on a collaborative agreement
The University of Northampton’s degree programmes delivered by its partners such as HELBUS are part of the official quality assurance system for higher education in England (Office for Students OfS). The collaboration with HELBUS' academic partners is a common way of organising transnational education in the global setting, especially among UK higher education institutions. The regulating bodies of the UK also oversee these international partnerships.

Pearson is the largest organisation in the UK awarding educational and professional qualifications. The partnership between HELBUS and Pearson began in 2013 when HELBUS was approved to offer the two-year Higher National Diploma. These programmes are equivalent to two years of university study in the UK and are often integrated into Bachelor's degree programmes. These qualifications are regulated in England by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulations (Ofqual).
Owner:
The Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce
In 2022, the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce acquired HELBUS to strengthen its ability to produce English-language services for companies looking to expand globally. The Chamber accelerates the internationalisation of Finnish businesses and helps international executives and employees settle into the Finnish work environment. The Chamber’s ownership increases the visibility of English-language business education in the capital region and helps ensure that education matches the needs of the job market (and vice versa).
